Who Can Stand Against Us?

Romans 8:31
What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us

God is For Us

The Bible tells us that God is for us. Yet many believers feel that they are on their own, and often wonder where God is in their situation. But this promise, as with all the promises of God, must be embraced by faith. We must believe the Scriptures before we perceive the reality of them in our lives. When it comes to the promises of God, believing precedes having.

He Will Never Leave Us

Another Scripture says that God has promised that He would never leave us nor forsake us, so that we may boldly say the Lord is our helper, and we will not be afraid. But often we feel as though God is nowhere to be found. We fail to release faith in the promise of God, based on how we feel. Yet God is always with us, whether we feel like it or not. Our feelings do not determine whether the word of God is true or not.

I am with You Always

Jesus said that He would be with us always, even to the end of the age. Someone has said that loneliness is merely not knowing Who is really with us. And knowing Who is really with us comes by hearing and believing what the word of God says. He is with us and He is on our side.

No One and Nothing

Once we have jumped over the hurtle of believing that God is with us and that He is for us, we must take the next leap of faith and believe that no one or nothing can stand against us. Reaching that place of trust in Him and His word brings both comfort in our present situation and confidence to face anything that might come our way in the future. And that gives us peace. It also releases the power of the One Who is with us to change every situation for our good. He is able to make all things work together for us in a good way.

Trust in the LORD today. He is with us, if His word is true and faithful, and it is. Believe the word of God. Boldly declare your faith in it. And believe that He is also for you. Take comfort in His presence, for He is a very present help in time of need.
